Alaskans Celebrate 4th of July

The fourth of July, America‘s Independence Day, is one wherever friends and family come together to celebrate our nation’s independence with beer, barbecues, and aesthetically pleasing explosions sometimes set to “Stars and Stripes Forever.” However, a little city in Alaska known as glacier view has upped their July 4 festivities–adding in the extra holiday flourish of hurling cars off of a cliff. Why the crazy stunts? because of America, that’s why.

So where do these cars come from? They’re usually cars that are on their last legs of usability, and therefore the voters of glacier view offer the cars a proper send-off.

And before you are concerned regarding the hazards of hurling a car off a cliff, the locals are careful to get rid of glass and substances like antifreeze from the car, and that they are absolute to obtain after their chaotic celebrations.

The cars are hurled off of cliffs on private land, not public.
